Objet Témoin Partners With Capeline-Afac974 On Scientific Issues
It is with a certain pride that we announce the official start of our collaboration with the association AFAC974 on the island of Reunion, the bearer of the CAPELINE project, which has won awards for its commitment to young people and teachers in Reunion. Thanks to this partnership, we will be able to call on the scientific expertise of Dominique Vandanjon, Professor of History and Geography at the University of Reunion, as well as Raymond Carretier, and the solid network of Capeline to contribute to our research and validate the relevance of our productions.
It was already within the framework of the Capeline-Afac974 project that, at the beginning of 2021, our teams of photographers collaborated to collect a great deal of information on the sugar sites in the south of Reunion Island, such as the former estates of Count Gabriel Le Coat de Kerveguen in Le Tampon, Langevin, Saint-Joseph, the Barracks of Saint-Pierre etc.
A Long-Term Collaboration
For several years now, some members of Objet témoin and Forget Me Not have been involved with Capeline, whose strong values of exchange and free access for school audiences and heritage preservation our collective supports. We thus participated in workshops on the digitalization of teaching tools and pedagogical transmission by proposing workshops on collaboration tools in the cloud (Google Suite, Whimsical, ...), the constraints of managing shared media banks (Phraseanet, Google Photos, Lightroom...) as well as the new possibilities offered by low cost 3D printing in the classroom.
In 2022, our links will reach a new level with the use of Capeline's scientific skills in production projects initiated by Objet Témoin.
Thank you all and we look forward to seeing the beautiful productions that will result from this connection. To download the text of the agreement, you can use the link aside, or the following button.
